CAIPS/GCMS Notes

The “Computer Assisted Immigration Processing System”, which is also known as CAIPS, is a type of system that is used by all the Canadian Visa Offices and Consulates for all kinds of Visa Application Processing.

Restoration Status

If you run out of temporary permits to stay in Canada, don’t worry, you can still do something to get a new permit thanks to section 182 of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations, which states that any visitor or worker and a student that loses their status can reinstate or restore their status.

Visa Extension

Canada offers a lot of programs that have validity, which means that you would have to renew or apply for extension at a certain period of time in order to legally stay in the country.
